What to expect at Ravensview
Knowing what to expect when you join us at Ravensview can help to make the process more comfortable. Here’s a peek at some of the experiences you’ll have before and during your stay.

Your first step
The first step before coming to Ravensview is an intake interview with a member of our intake team. We’ll schedule a phone interview that takes about 60 to 90 minutes. During the call, we’ll ask about your medical and health history, your history with mental health and/or addiction, what kinds of treatments you might have tried before, and what your goals are for treatment at Ravensview.
After confirming with our interdisciplinary team that we can meet your needs, we’ll schedule your admission date.
Your first day
On your first day at Ravensview you are welcomed into the facility by our on-site intake representative. Next, you’ll meet members of your care team, including the 24/7 nursing team and the prime therapist and most-responsible physician who are your dedicated treatment team for the duration of your stay.
Note that for the first seven days of your stay, you will not have access to any personal technology . However, you can make personal calls from the on-site telehealth room, outside of core programming and therapeutic times. After your first week, you will have daily access to your personal technology. Our personal technology policy applies to phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches and similar devices.
During the course of your treatment program, you will not be permitted to use your personal technology during group or individual sessions, check-ins, or any time where your device(s) may pose a distraction from treatment. These include photographing, recording or any other behaviour that could compromise the privacy and confidentiality of other clients or Ravensview staff. Any use of personal technology that violates the wellness, safety, and/or security of Ravensview clients and/or staff can result in possible discharge.
