Why Ravensview
Homewood Ravensview is unlike any other mental health and addiction treatment centre in Western Canada. Our approach is based on 140+ years of nationally recognized research that informs an interdisciplinary, holistic approach to treatment and recovery. Located within 28 tranquil, forested acres, Ravensview offers the perfect setting for clients to heal and find a better way forward.
Treatment grounded in
real-time measurement
Ravensview is a leader in evidence-based care and is committed to comprehensive assessments to collect meaningful data to support program planning, quality improvement and outcome measures. Homewood Touchpoint is an integrated measurement tool developed so that clients can better understand their recovery and work with clinicians using friendly online tools. Clinicians then use this information to evaluate treatment progress in real time.

Dedicated team
Meet the diverse group of compassionate professionals leading our dedicated, interdisciplinary team consisting of a psychiatrist, addiction medicine physician, psychologist, psychotherapist, social workers, horticultural therapist, music therapist, art therapist, recreation therapist, counsellors and nurses.
Therapeutic Teaching Kitchen
At Ravensview, our Therapeutic Teaching Kitchen offers a unique, optional program designed to enhance food literacy and support mental well-being. Guided by a registered dietitian, this weekly programming helps clients build confidence in making nutritious choices while fostering a positive relationship with food through enjoyable and social meal preparation activities. Participants explore the connection between mental and physical health, use food preparation as a mindfulness-based strategy, explore cultural connections through food and develop essential life skills like planning, organization, and time management. The program emphasizes practical, budget-friendly approaches to meal prep, introduces foundational culinary techniques, and makes cooking accessible and manageable for all.

Exceptional experience
The experience at Ravensview is one of discovery, acceptance, community and hope. Hear from the people who have completed their treatment here about what it’s like to take part in our mental health and addiction treatment programs.
Treatment outcomes
We are dedicated to tracking and using treatment outcomes to evaluate all programs and to help clients succeed on their road to recovery. Through our partnerships with the Homewood Research Institute, major universities and our collaboration with the Homewood Health Centre, we are pioneering new learning to enhance treatment and improve outcomes.

Recovery management
We believe an effective treatment program includes professionally managed services available after program completion that are focused on recovery management, reintegration into the community, and relapse prevention. Recovery management enables clients to gain stability and manage their lives again through continuous education, support and skills building.
Community and culture
Homewood Health developed Ravensview in close partnership with local First Nation communities. We are committed to respecting the culturally sacred lands our facility is built on and providing culturally competent care.
