ROBERT DE CLARK MSW

General Manager


Rob De Clark is the General Manager of Homewood Ravensview. He previously played a key role in developing Ravensview as Homewood Health’s Director of Facility Development for Western Canada. A former addiction and mental health outreach worker, counsellor and clinical director, Rob most recently served as vice-president of clinical services for a leading treatment facility. A respected hockey coach, Rob is also involved in wellness programs for students and young athletes, and co-founded a pioneering mental health program for junior hockey athletes, BCHL’s Talk Today program.

DR. LYN MACBEATH MD, FRCP(C), DABAM, ISAM, CSAM

Medical Director


Dr. Lyn MacBeath is the founding medical director of Homewood Ravensview. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (Psychiatry) with certification in addiction medicine and specific expertise in the treatment of trauma and its related disorders. She has held Medical Director positions in mental health and addiction treatment and she is also a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia. Dr. MacBeath is a well-known advocate for trauma-informed practices and for ensuring that services are responsive to cultural diversity.

DR. MICHAEL BERRY R.PSYCH

Clinical Director


Dr. Michael Berry is a clinical psychologist with expertise in a variety of evidence-based assessments and treatments used to address issues and disorders including mood/anxiety disorders, addictive behaviours, personality disorders and family issues. Dr. Berry served as manager of clinical operations for the Sex and Couple Therapy Service at McGill University Health Centre and he was the managing editor of the International Journal of Men’s Health. He is also an innovator who developed a new treatment protocol for men’s sex and pornography addiction.

DR. PAUL BECKETT MD, CCFP, DABAM, FASAM, CSAM

Addiction Physician


Now a specialist in addiction and family practice, Dr. Paul Beckett worked for a decade as an emergency room physician and then directed medical care at three different correctional centres. He was the medical director at two addictions centres, Maple Ridge Treatment Centre and Hannah House, and also provided medical services at Fraser Health’s withdrawal management centre. A member of both the Canadian and American Societies of Addiction Medicine, he has also worked in a community-based intensive case management team setting.

DR. KIRI SIMMS BScN, MD, FRCP(C)

Psychiatrist


Serving patients in both English and French, Dr. Kiri Simms is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and an expert in emergency and crisis intervention, addiction treatment, medical psychiatry and the treatment of anxiety disorders. She is an award-winning teacher at the University of British Columbia and the co-author of an influential study in neuropsychiatry. Her previous professional postings include clinical positions at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute in Montreal and the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health).

ALEXIS WINTER RPN, BA

Director of Nursing


Alexis Winter is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse and a Masters Candidate in Psychiatric Nursing with experience working in hospital, tertiary care and community outreach settings in and around Victoria, BC. A leader in her profession, she served as a director and the vice-chair of the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia for four years and she has a strong track record of working with interdisciplinary health care teams both on the front lines of care and in program and systems design.

KIM LINDSAY

Human Resources Specialist


Kim Lindsay has played key roles in human resources management for a wide range of public and private sector organizations in Victoria, BC, including Columbia Fuels and the University of Victoria. Her management experience includes working with The New Vista Society and Berwick Retirement Communities where she was the organization’s first human resources manager and implemented several new HR functions. As part of the Homewood Health team since 2017, Kim has both developed and delivered a full range of human resources services.
